Even my current book the great magician and other stories went down with it, just when I was preparing to get it unto the printers’ table. What kind of a devil is this.  And its just days to my self established deadline. Even my Internet book, How to sell anything on the Intern, which I have completed up to 80% of the way is gone.

According to my laptop engineer, ” I pray it does not go-oh”. This is obviously the price I will have to pay for not backing up regularly. but heck the last back up I did was 2 month ago.  Its one set back after another. Please pray pray for me.

Sex in the kitchen

Listening to my neighbours have sex above my room as I facebooked on my Laptop was kind of exhilarating and I was also slowly been aroused. It was 11.30pm in the night and they were having hot delicious sex. Why on earth do they make the walls so thin nowadays, I can hear them even from a mile off. My neighbours were both newly wedded couples who just relocated to my Father’s 3 storey building flat, few weeks ago. I learnt that they were both Ibibios and the lady fair in complexion was so gorgeous looking,  attractive looking boobs, slender straight legs, awesome arse that could seduce any man, even the Pope himself.  She was the type of woman you will wish should be custom made just for you. Though the Husband was a glaring contrast in comeliness and was so so lean of body. I amusingly called him skinny.

I wished I could see their passionate thrusts and moves but Alas they were upstairs above my room (my dad gave me the 3 room flat downstairs) and no chance of my seeing them. Besides it was too dark outside….There it goes again . She is screaming and moaning like a wild deer. And suddenly the floor above my head begins to pound heavily as I guess I heard her scream and reverbeat as if in orgasm. Men! That guy must be awesome. Then Silence! Absolute silence. Minutes later I hear them stumbling into the bathroom and her repetitive moans began again as she screamed, “more…more…” What was he doing to her?

I was feeling quite horny right now and felt the urge to relieve myself of this tension. My manhood was slowly growing. How I wish Bola was right here right now. “Arh! Bola!” I blurted incoherently as I remembered the many times we had romped together in dark secret places, at her place, on my bed and right here on this sofa. There was no style, act or position imaginable I and Bola had not practiced. Sometimes we’ll sit for hours on whole weekends watching sex movies and practicing the moves we saw. My girlfriend Bola was a sex maniac, she was the ultimate fantasy of any man and she was endowed in beauty and technique. Fair skinned and glowy like a mammy water, with long natural hair running to her mid back, well shaped boobs, curvy hips, silky smooth skin as soft as a toddler’s palm and well manicured fingers were some of her endowed features. So beautiful and sexy. If Bola was a sex maniac or nympho like my younger brother once rudely suggested then I was more of a sex maniac than her. I had asked her several times to move in with me but she didn’t want to. Said she was ok living alone on her own, though I knew she was waiting for me to pop the question before she’ll agree. But Man! I am not going to rush.

My neighbours have started again, this time it’s the man, skinny, that’s moaning and groaning in pleasure. I felt myself growing as I listened. I couldn’t even concentrate on the message I was writing to a Facebook friend anymore. I wish Bola was her to relieve me of this tension. Wait a minute! I can have her here besides me and we can enjoy the sex over the Phone. Phone sex right? Yes! She will oblige. I am the only man in her life and I am her sex god. I moved my laptop unto the table and picked up the Phone besides it. I stretched on the sofa and began dialing her mobile phone. My heart was beginning to pound loudly as I heard the ring on the other end, “Hello!…” a voice sounded on the other end. It was a male voice! My heart stopped and the erection died away instantly.

I had a crazy inspiration to write this. Happened just yesterday (5-08-2010) in the evening and it took me just 35mins to cook up. What do you think. Am a  spoilt brat right?

By how many days this has set us back I dont know…only time will tell. But as soon as I am in the “pool” again. I wil launch out with the back covers and roll out the  impressions/Mass printing and by the calculation of my expert graphic artists and printers, “that will only take days, once payment is made.”…I believe them.

Apologies to Iyanla Vanzat. But yesterday I wept. And it was not for joy that I wept. Like Andrea Agassi, who in the Atlanta Olympics, won gold for his country, America. And neither did I weep from nostalgia. Like some former East Germans remembering a bygone era. No, not like these. I wept not because I mourned a friend. Like Christ weeping for Lazarus. But for the same reason many people throw themselves off bridges, take an overdose of sleeping pills, and smash their cars against other cars. I wept because of love. Sounds familiar?

Yes, many of us cry over break ups and unrequited love. Or even, from the ill treatments of a spouse. And why do we? Because we as humans are prone to emotions.

Love is an emotion. And a most powerful one at that. Without it our lives will be incomplete. No matter the form it takes’whether it is amorous or platonic or agape’it’s the same. But before you call me a ‘hopeless romantic’ I will ask this: Would you rather exist like a machine? Or as a fictional android’human-looking robots’knowing no love? I don’t think so.

Love, however, should not be confused with sex. These are two different things. Sex is a physical act. (We do it for pleasure.) Love on the other hand is an emotional bond. (It defies common sense.)

I have read and heard many things said about love and sex. But the most memorable, for me, is this one from Jason Solomon: ‘Sex is easy and cheap; love requires work.’ And I found it, of all places, in a movie review. (Speak of serendipity.)

Yes, love unlike sex requires work (but some may disagree). Unlike sex, love cannot be got at the spur of the moment. Like a Mars bar. Or a one-night stand. It takes time to appreciate. Like real estate. Or a Rolls Royce. Love also requires patience’a lot of it’and forgiveness. Forgiveness?

Yes, forgiveness. You must be willing to forgive those who hurt you. This might not be easy but it is an act which must be done. Because its other alternative is animosity. And this’like acid’corrodes:a thing not good for your mental health. So, forgive.

Now I loved a girl. And I told her this whenever I had the chance. I whispered it into her ears. I wrote her verses. I even sent them to her as text. I thought things were moving well. But I was love struck wrong. For my much sort after damsel, the ‘girl of my dreams’ whom I had wooed for many months, was snapped up by a guy she had barely known for a week. And to make it worse, he was a friend.

To say that I was crushed or devastated or even dejected would be an understatement. I felt I should pack my things and flee to the moon. Maybe I should wait when commercial space flights begin and Tommy Lee Jones sets up a lunar resort. (I hear he bought a piece of space there for a dollar.)

Now I wept not because I lost her. Far from it. I had seen it coming. But I wept because she never realized I really loved her. Love is like that’a most mysterious thing.

Does my story sound familiar? You who loved and was not loved in return? That high school or college crush who thought nothing of you? That gorgeous guy at work whom barely notices your presence? That lady whose looks are enough to make you go ‘weak in the knees,’ and who wouldn’t give you an audience because she has ‘the world at her feet’? If you happen to fall in any of these positions know this: You are not alone. For there are millions, no, billions like you, all over the world, who want to be loved.

Love has the power to turn things around. It can endure a lot of insults. Here I remember the story of a woman, who despite being despised by a man will always be nice to him. In fact, the man did every thing he could to inflict pain on her’even embarrassing her in the presence of her friends. Anyway, she stuck to him like glue. He felt she was a pest (call her a tenacious roach). He tried every trick he could to stop her from being around him. Yet she wouldn’t go away. In the end he saw her as a better person. And he couldn’t help but love her. (Who wouldn’t?)

Now are you as enduring as that woman who worked hard’very hard’for her love? Are you willing to forgive like many others who did the same and wept yesterday like me? And today they smile!
